Habits

I am working on habits more and the feeling of responsibility in following through is great. Some for sure are not as intense as others. The responsibility of changing some and adding others is allowing me to see an improvement in my life. Of course, some of the habits are to break others. Breaking habits is a two fold responsibility. First, becoming responsible for the fact that we are doing something that is not good/healthy for us. Secondly, becoming responsible for for finding a good habit to replace the bad habit.  Right now I am working on playing games all the time when I am not working. Obviously a bad habit. It is not totally bad playing games it is the endless hours that do not produce anything worthwhile. So, how have I decided to stop wasting this time? I have read an article on “Pocket” everyday, ok almost every day. I listen to a book as much. I watch a “TED” session about the same amount. Plus one that I do almost perfectly every day and do a mindful meditation. With...

Self responsibility

Ok, self responsibility is difficult. As you can see by the length of time since my last post. This blog started as part of my habit forming. I am grown tired of myself as well as others. By blogging I will be able do both but in the best way keep myself responsible.  This blog was going to be a rant against society. However, it is going to become something of what I really want which is to hopefully have a discussion with you. I truly believe today society is very polarized so it is very difficult to hold a real conversation about anything.  I have learned through experience that people go through times, especially as youth, where we are polarized. The question is how do we teach ourselves about dualism. Where we are open to both sides even when we have strong beliefs and feelings about something. I have been doing a lot of watching, reading and listening to different things about habits and a variety of topics. I have found some strong feelings a raised where I disagreed or ...
