Customer Service

I work and have most of my life in customer service and one thing I think makes a huge difference is when you provide the service without really expecting anything in return. Or depending on the make sure the job making sure that the is in way most convenient for the customer and not for the person putting it out.

Attitude in every area of life needs to focus on others but especially in customer service. Just a thought about the term “customer service” which to me seems to imply for service of customer. I’m pretty sure that all of us have had a few really bad experiences with customer service. Best way to provide the best customer service, even if it is to your love ones, is the Golden Rule “Do onto others as you would have them do to you.”

I was thinking about this on the way home from work today and thought that if I wanted to do this for Christ I had to make it something I didn’t really have to think about. For me customer service really is not that difficult because I get a good feeling when I know I have helped someone, even though they may not of noticed. It’s not about “thank yous” or any praise but just because it is the right way to be. I have no idea when I started being this way but it is natural to me.

People will say that it is part of my personality. I would like to say that I can agree with that to a degree but I like being of service to others because it feels good. I believe if you look at the feeling you get from helping someone will tell you a lot about yourself. I was born again when I was 13 but not perfected then. However, as I matured in Christ I can say for sure that this part of my life was developed.
